The Flying Squirrel
Weekend before last, all seven members of our mission team went to a cabin on Greers Ferry Lake in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Christie's aunt and uncle own the cabin; her parents spent the weekend with us, providing great food, drivers for the boat, and good company. It was great to be together and to relax a bit before starting up the semester. We skied, played games, ate crab cakes, and, well, took turns sprinting down the dock and jumping onto a round inflatable island. What you see in the picture is what Graham coined 'The Flying Squirrel.' All four of the guys on the team got involved in the fray; you can see more pictures in our mission team's photo gallery.

Mitch,
I'm not sure how in the world I stumbled onto your blog, but I did! I've been hearing for a few years about your different missions experiences, I guess, through my parents who know your parents who I think came to my wedding three years ago. This past weekend I saw my cousin and her husband (Joe and Dana Marlin) from Pleasant Valley who told me about PV supporting you, and then I found your blog (from one friend's blog to one of this links to here). Anyway! I just wanted to say hi; not sure that you'll remember me, but I remember always thinking you were a neat camper at Tahkodah (I was one of those crazy assistant counselors/counselors). I'm glad to see the path that God is leading you on -- I spent two years in Togo, West Africa with a mission team there, and they were the most defining years of my life. May God continue to direct and guide you!
In Christ,
Sandi (Wright) Haustein
